Universal input DIN rail switching power supplies (185…550 Vac) Single / Two-Phase / Three-Phase for industrial automation and process control applications. The input circuit technology makes them immune to overvoltages caused by faults in three-phase networks with a neutral, increasing application reliability. Compared to single-phase power supplies, this series offers greater reliability in industrial environments. The input stage uses components with a 900 V working voltage, which are more resistant to the voltage spikes found in industrial networks than the components used in single-phase units. The ability to operate from 185 to 550 Vac allows these power supplies to be used in both 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase networks.
Where maximum flexibility is required for use in single-phase or three-phase networks.
Industrial automation and process control applications.
Heavy-duty load applications.
Civil automation applications.
Extended Input Range (185…550 Vac): Can be powered by 230…240 Vac single-phase, 208 Vac two-phase, or 400…500 Vac two-phase and three-phase for maximum adaptability to AC networks, eliminating the need for an isolation transformer.
Two-Phase Input: Reduces overall dimensions, wiring, installation costs, and cabinet space.
Elimination of Transformers: Removes the need for a matching transformer for mains voltage.
DC OK Alarm Contact: Versions available with an alarm contact.
High Efficiency: Reduces energy consumption and component operating temperatures, allowing for use in small enclosures and severe environmental conditions.
Large Power Reserve: Capable of delivering at least +50% of the nominal current for 5 seconds, ensuring safety and reliability.
Adjustable Output: Protected against incoming overvoltages from the DC line and equipped with electronic protection that shuts down the output in case of an internal fault.
Short-Circuit and Overload Protection: Dimensioned to provide inrush currents exceeding 150% of the nominal value (required by heavy loads), while thermal protection prevents failures during prolonged overloads in high ambient temperatures.
Robust Construction: Ensures excellent ventilation of internal components, very compact dimensions, and IP20 protection against accidental contact according to IEC529.
Compact Design: Thanks to high efficiency and good ventilation, these are among the smallest on the market.
Greater Reliability
Compared to single-phase power supplies, this series offers higher reliability in industrial environments.
The input stage uses components rated for 900 V operating voltage, which are more resistant to voltage spikes typically present in industrial networks than the components used in single-phase units. The ability to operate from 185 to 550 Vac makes these power supplies immune to common grid faults:
When the input is supplied at 230 Vac (L1-N), in the event of a short circuit in another device connected to L2-N, the neutral potential rises to approximately 400 Vac and the input becomes supplied phase-to-phase until the protection device trips, which, in the best-case scenario, occurs within 300 ms. This is one of the most frequent causes of failure in 230 Vac single-phase power supplies operating in industrial environments (Figures 1 and 2).
Another failure case for 230 Vac single-phase devices supplied between phase and neutral is caused by the accidental disconnection or interruption of the panel neutral from the plant neutral. Without the return path to the star point, the neutral rises to phase voltage and applies approximately 400 Vac to the single-phase loads, making failure unavoidable.
Typical Application with Three-Phase Network and Neutral
In this configuration, the neutral is used to derive a 230 Vac supply to power loads (in the example, a simple light bulb) and power supplies.
A simple short circuit on the load causes the neutral potential to rise; all equipment connected to it will then be supplied between two phases, that is, at approximately 340–400 Vac instead of 230 Vac.

Ideal for applications where service continuity is essential: industrial automation, process control, alarm systems, and remote monitoring.

The new range is part of the Easy Power series and represents an advanced solution in the field of industrial power supplies. It is designed for standard applications that require an excellent price/performance ratio, small footprint and high power density, an extended operational temperature range and high energy efficiency.
