Cabur Solar Line 4 Connectors

Cabur Solar Line 4 connectors allow simple and effective connections.
They are divided into:

  • Flying connectors, male and female

  • Panel connectors, male and female

  • Y-joints for line branching

  • Fuse holders

  • Caps and accessories

To ensure proper assembly according to standards, Cabur recommends using the professional crimping tool IS3161N.

FAST, SIMPLE, AND EFFECTIVE: CONNECTION IN JUST THREE STEPS

  1. Insert the stripped cable into the crimp contact – CRIMP

  2. Insert the cable with the contact into the connector, then push firmly until you hear the classic click, indicating the metal pin has properly engaged in the plastic housing. Do not make connections without ensuring this engagement.

  3. Manually screw the cable gland until fully seated; this step is essential to ensure IP67 protection.

MALE AND FEMALE LINE 4 FLYING CONNECTORS

The connector consists of 4 main parts:

    1. Metal contact

    2. Rubber gasket

    3. Rigid PPO plastic gland

    4. Main PPO plastic body

  • Tinned Copper Metal Contact: consists of two tabs that, folded over the metal core of the cable, ensure a correct and secure grip. This crimping action must be performed using the appropriate Cabur Solar tools.
  • Rubber Gasket: provides insulation for the internal part of the connector. By compressing the cable’s insulating sheath, it prevents the entry of external agents such as moisture, dust, and oils.
  • Rigid PPO Plastic Gland: a conical cavity gland that, when screwed onto the main body of the connector, forces the tabs together, compressing the rubber gasket onto the cable insulation, thereby ensuring IP67 protection.
  • PPO Plastic Outer Shell: houses the pin. The connection between male and female connectors occurs as follows: the male metal pin enters the female pin, and vice versa for the plastic housings. The female connector includes a red rubber ring serving as an isolation gasket against external atmospheric agents. Mechanical engagement between male and female connectors is ensured by two elastic tabs that anchor into two slots on the male connector shell.

LINE 4 PANEL CONNECTORS MALE – FEMALE

The connector consists of 3 main parts:

  1. Metal Contact: the tinned copper contact is identical to the version used in flying connectors
  2. Rigid PPO Plastic Gland: the hexagonal plastic gland secures the connector to the panel surface. It is important not to overtighten, as this could damage the connector threads.
  3. Main PPO Plastic Body: outer plastic shell, similar to flying connectors
