How to Perform Stripping with IS31579002
Stripping with IS3170
This cable stripper can strip cables with cross-sections of 2.5, 4, 6, and 10 mm². Equipped with a stop, it allows a fixed and consistent stripping length of approximately 8 mm, in compliance with the requirements of our PINs. The blade is interchangeable.
To strip a 2.5 mm² cable, the blade must make a full turn around the outer circumference of the cable.
To strip a 4 mm² cable, the blade must make two full turns around the outer circumference of the cable.
To strip a 6 mm² cable, the blade must make three full turns around the outer circumference of the cable.
To preserve the number of strands, the blade must not make more turns than those indicated for each cable cross-section.
How to Perform Crimping
Open the pliers to their maximum opening (fig.1).
Slowly bring the two handles of the pliers together, allowing the locking/unlocking mechanism to click three times (fig.2).
Observe the retention pin on the die (fig.2).
Insert the die, positioning the retention pin into the pliers’ slot (fig.3).
Ensure that the plastic tab has locked the die in place, i.e., has moved upward (fig.4).
Press the two handles of the pliers until they are fully closed (fig.4).
Release the handles; the pliers should automatically and completely reopen (fig.5).
If during closing the crimp is defective or the pliers become stuck for any reason, release the pliers by alternately pressing and releasing the handles while simultaneously pressing the release lever located inside the handle with your thumb (fig.6).
