Communication Bridges
The XBRI series consists of two different types of interconnection bridges.
The XBRIRS485ET device is a gateway that allows ModBus-RTU devices on an RS485 network to connect to an Ethernet network based on ModBus-TCP.
The XBRIRS485ET and XBRIRS485WI devices are bridges that enable RS485 communication devices (with any protocol) to connect to an Ethernet network (Ethernet 10/100 Base-T) based on the TCP/IP protocol stack, or to create user-transparent links via standard IT networks.
Ethernet-to-RS485 communication occurs through a virtual communication port. The Ethernet communication speed can be set to 10 Mbit/s or 100 Mbit/s. Device parameters (IP address, subnet mask, etc.) can be configured via the Telnet interface.
Ethernet Switches
The series of unmanaged Ethernet switches for industrial DIN-rail applications includes compact 5- and 8-port devices, XSWET5UP and XSWET8UP, respectively.
These devices support the IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3x standards with 10/100 Mbit, full/half-duplex, RJ45. The XSWET5UP and XSWET8UP switches are suitable for operation at temperatures between -10°C and 60°C. The switches can be easily installed on DIN-rail or via panel mounting.
